The second round of the French parliament elections of last Sunday has made one important victim, as Alain Juppé was not able to get elected and therefore resigned as superminister for “sustainable development”. Mr Juppé will be replaced by Jean-Louis Borloo, who was finance minister up to now.
Some French media are speculating that the “superministry” might be split up again in different departements.
